Gaining an eye for the unsearchable riches of Christ

Even if some people claim that Jesus did not exist, they should ask themselves whether so many philosophers and figures of antiquity existed. For there is often much less to be found about these other figures than about this Nazarene Jewish teacher.
At the beginning of our era, his disciples too wrote that what they were writing about was not so much about them as about that figure they had followed who was hung on a pole to death.
‘For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; ourselves we consider only as your servants for Jesus' sake.’ (2 Corinthians 4:5)
With the writings of the apostles, we also get a revelation from God. Nothing more really needs to be added to His revelation.
What is needed is that those who hear the Gospel gain an eye for the unsearchable riches of Christ.
By nature, according to Rev Walter Chantry, man is blind to this, and it requires a creative act of God in his life.
‘In the conversion of the murderer on the cross we have a striking example of how God causes His light to shine in the darkness to give a man a knowledge of himself in the face of Jesus Christ,’
said Rev Chantry.
God has given mankind that light to shine in the darkness, whatever we find ourselves in our times. As the apostles proclaimed Jesus, today those who claim to be Christians must do the same. They must let Jesus light shine by making him known and showing what that man of flesh and blood has done for humanity.
That is one of the aims of this website. We do hope to shed some light on that biblical figure that we consider the Messiah.
